Curry, links, whatever

So, I was talking with [info]arikbet the other night and I mentioned an article about curry I thought he'd like. I was just about to email it to him when I decided that maybe other people might be interested, too. So,

The author basically figured out what the core of an Indian curry is. The comments are kind of interesting, too.

missing one thing its called garam masala basically its another blend of spices that add more flavour and definitely add heat to it. name basically means hot spices =P
i definitely think turmeric HAS to be added to a curry and the last thing (of many things that i forget) black mustard seeds have to be added first to the hot oil, then ginger/garlic blah blah blah and bay leaves (dried) and curry leaves (fresh)... well thats it ^_^;; any indian recipes needed? ask me i have about a million books that my mum never uses =P

I though garam masala was the non-heat pile of indian spices. Must add your own hot to it.

30 green cardamom pods
15 cloves (laung)
5 black cardamom pods
4 pieces mace
4 pieces cinnamon (dalchini) (2.5 squared cm)
5 tbsp cumin seeds (jeera)
2 tbsp coriander seeds (dhaniya)
1 tbsp fennel seeds (saunf)
1 tsp black peppercorns
1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds (methi

Right. Must add hot. Thanks, food-nepal.com.

And it has been printed!!
